Looking for suggestions on what to add to really finish the tank off. I have some small seiryu stones coming in already which I think will finish off the hardscape and help transition the white sand into the dark substrate. Other than that looking for plant ideas, particularly for the foreground and in the sanded area.

Tank used established filtration but from a smaller tank so not quite ready for fish yet. But open to hearing some stocking ideas as well. Dimensions are 20 x 16 x 16 inches. Which works out to roughly 22 gallons.

Let me know your thoughts and any feedback is appreciated.

  1. I’d add some stem plants in there. Red ones, like rotala rotundifolia blood red, ludwigia palustris super red or ludwigia repens. But these plants need high light to show the red. In the Sandy area, you can add an Alternanthera reineckii or cryptocoryne wendtii red.
