Hey y’all, I am very new to the world of fly fishing! I live outside of Indianapolis and I am looking for places to fish within like 6 hours of Indy this fall (starting in september). I work in Jackson, Wyoming in the summers so I am used to going for trout, so places that have trout would be awesome. I am also open to salmon or small panfish.
I am already planning a trip to the smokies so any recommendations for that would be amazing as well. Thanks in advance!
Edit: I have a 9ft 5wt rod right now and am not looking to buy a new rod soon.

If you’re down for a bit of a drive, head to the Driftless region.
I’m about 2 hours north do you and I’ve been driving up to the AuSable every weekend. It’s magical up there
