I spotted these fish along a pier in Lunenburg bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. They were interested in my lure, but weren't biting. They have quite a small mouth, so that may be why. I did some research online and think they may be grey triggerfish, but I'm hoping someone can confirm for me, so I can bait my line accordingly. Thanks!

Looks to be some kind of a triggerfish for sure. Just would have to down size your terminal and bait with small clam or squid strips to get a hook up. Probably a 1/0 circle would get the job done but might need smaller
Red fish, blue fish, one fish, two fish!
Those are trigger fish. Drop a small piece f any meat on a hook and they should eat it. Their teeth will but line like butter, so don’t be surprised if you get chewed off immediately.
Looks like a queen trigger
