I decided to go to the northern part of Italy on holiday for 2 weeks and I wanted to breathe new life in a youth hobby of mine: troutfishing. I haven't done it in like 20 years, so I bought myself all the new gear I needed: a rod, lures, hooks, etc. I tried 4 different rivers (Sesia, Dezzo, Oglio, Mastallone) and two lakes (Lago d'Orta & Lago d'Iseo) and haven't caught a single one.

Is it my lures? Is it my red line? Summin' else? All advice is welcome.

PS.

The middle lure lost it's spinner, but it was on there for the time I went fishing.

Yes, it is the color of the lines, but also the lures. Your leader should always be fluo, especially for trout. Trout have a very good eye sight, seeing also in UV, so UV color lures should have helped. If water is murky, use UV colors, if water is clean, use natural colors. Martin Panthers also work wonders, and so fo bead spinners.

    Hope this helps.
