Buy the reel from Japan. Find a rod with a solid warranty
Saint Croix makes good rods but they break incredibly easily if you aren’t careful. Also are you freshwater or salt? Would recommend getting at least a 7 ft too
I have a 6’ MLF St Croix Premier with a Stradic 1000 — it’s awesome for my needs!
