Hey guys, I finally got the set up in, St Croix Mojo Inshore 7” MH with a Shimano Stradic 4k. It was recommended to me from a coworker. I won’t be able to fish with it til next week due to traveling for work. I’ve owned several combos before in the $80-$120 range and some of them failed on me while using it for salt water. I’m currently running 20lb braid & 20lb fluoro leader, will this be good enough for freshwater pike, walleye, LM, SM, cats, & stripers (4-15lbs). I will be taking it offshore sometime too for sea bass & maybe some drums & groupers will that set up be enough?
Also, I eventually want to get a combo purely for offshore, looking towards a 6000-8000 reel and maybe staying with shimano. Let me know some recommendations for reels, rods, line, lures, etc for offshore. Thank you.

Perfect for pike, just don’t forget a wire or heavy fluoro leader to avoid bite offs.
