I have recently had a group of these guys hitchhike into one of my daphnia tanks on plants grown outside. They are a tiny UK native species, growing 5-10mm and are considered a detritivore / algivore.
I have never seen them in the aquarium hobby and am considering breeding them. This is not a for sale post, just a discussion / research if people would be interested in keeping them in their tanks!

I have these in my nano shrimp tank (also hitchhikers) and personally have no issue letting them be. While I wouldn’t actively buy them, I am happy to have them!
Lots of people are adverse to snails because of how quickly they breed and can cause quite a mess visually. These guys do breed incredibly rapidly, in my experience, if you have a surplus of food (which I often do in my shrimp take as the algae wafters etc hang around for a day or so with it just being shrimp in there).
They are great for keeping the tank clean in terms of eating left over food and detritus build up, not sure they have much of a strong affect on algae though.
