I have a cycled 10 gallon which I’m stocking next week w endlers. One problem I’m having is the hydra population has exploded. About 2 weeks ago I noticed one and tried to carefully siphon it out. Well I clearly didn’t do a good job and now there’s countless hydra covering everything including hitching rides on my ramshorns. I know endlers can eat them but this probably won’t eradicate them. I don’t want to treat with chems since I don’t wanna kill all the snails. I want to eventually have neocardina and I’m worried about their babies being eaten by hydra. Any advice on getting rid of them or is the concern unwarranted? (I have not been adding any food, I know my plants look rough and that I have a shit ton of snails)

HAIL HYDRA
How do you feel about gourami?
I used Safe-Guard goat dewormer to cure my tank. It’s shrimp and plant safe. Some decorative snails are harmed (I didn’t have any) but my bladder snails were unaffected.
You can use hydrogen peroxide to spot treat. Alternatively Fenbendazole sold as a dog dewormer Panacur c 222mg strength. Dosage 0.1g per 10US gallons of water. Safe with fish, shrimp, common snails pond, bladder, ramshorn and mts other snails need to be removed during treatment. It’s been used in the hobby for years.
