Hi! This is my first time owning a fish since a kid. I have a betta in a 5.5 gallon with one snail and 2 shrimp. All plants are alive and my betta hammock is coming in the mail tomorrow. I have a filter and heater. I’m waiting for my drift wood to be water logged and will put some moss on that. Any advice?

Looks great! Make sure to get a thermometer to keep an eye on tank temp. Sometimes heaters malfunction. Love the floating plants!
I was like SNAKE?!?!? until I saw the snail lmao.
Awesome tank!
beautiful you’re doing well
Yay! Advice for the driftwood when it’s ready…
First check it with the “panty hose test” to make sure it’s smoother than your betta’s fins…
Next inspect to see if there are any nooks, crannies, or crevices that look like narrow fun spots for a betta to explore because unfortunately those spaces can be dangerous… bettas get excited to explore to see if they can fit and then sometimes get trapped because when they sense being they flare which makes them bigger so then they’re stuck. So if you find those kinds of spaces you’ll want to either cover them or put them on the bottom so they’re buried in the substrate.
Finally when you place the wood make sure there’s no narrow crevices/nooks/crannies between the wood & the glass, substrate, or neighboring rock.
Ps welcome!
