So today after some recent interest, my brother asked to go to the tackle shop with me. I ended up picking out a fishing rod for him (a fox rage light spinning rod 5-15g) as well as a tiny tackle box and a few other essentials. Paired with an Abu Garcia reel that came with my combo that I wouldn’t be needing he was set. Two hours on the water and he hooked into his first ever Zander and a respectable size at that. I had two bites and blanked, but overall a very successful day.

I’ll always be jealous that you guys over there have the mega versions of walleye, perch, chub, and catfish. Awesome catch!
