I have a Penn Spinfisher VI 2500 that only about a year old. When I set the hook the reel just free spools, is there a fix for this could I send it back to Penn? Or should I just trash the reel? Thanks for any help

Do you mean like you can’t set the hook without your drag slipping? How loose or tight is your drag? Alternatively, your anti reverse bearing is shot if your reel is reeling backwards/slipping. The 2500 size doesn’t have a backup anti reverse.
