Took my son fishing for the first time last week. It was a swim similar to this, we both had 1 rod each and both did float fishing. I’ve got 2 rods now and he has 1. I was looking to keep him on the float purely for activity and set my 2 up for carp fishing so to speak with led/rig etc. is it necessary on a lake like this where casting 70 meters+ to the other side isn’t an issue?
Any help appreciated, what’s the best way to fish a swim like this?
