Depends where the fish are on the day, gotta take into account things like weather conditions, ,wind direction, air pressure, angling pressure in the lake etc. Personally, I’d walk the lake a few times until I saw signs of fish before picking the peg.
If you have to pick a peg before you get there, I’d probably go for 10 and fish as close to the nonfishing zone as you can. Fish will frequent this area a lot as its a safe haven, and they’ll know that!
