Had a very good wind this past Saturday morning and decided to get on the Float tube and look for some feeding carp. We had some rain for a few days which normally makes the fish act weird but with a very light wind chances are still there to get a few decent ones.
We got on the water at 06:40 and the dam was like a mirror. We could see carp feeding (bubbles) but the feeds were not long and proper. I would see a feed and make my way closer and by the time I cast a short cast the carp moved from the spot and feeding half a meter further.
When they feed like this and I target them in 5 – 8 ft water it's almost impossible to get the fly down to them in time to get a chance of them seeing the fly and picking it up. The rain somehow does this to them always.
I managed only 1 and even though it's not a big carp it gave me a very good fight on the flyrod.
