I live on Dale Hollow Lake in the U.S., and I’ve noticed carp fishing here has been really growing lately – especially the last couple of years. The lake has a healthy population of mirror and common carp, with some big fish in the 40–60 lb range. Shoreline fishing can be surprisingly productive, and most anglers practice catch-and-release.
I put together a short blog that goes into the types of carp in the lake, how they fight, and tips for shore-based fishing: https://lakehouseondalehollow.com/reel-in-monster-mirror-carp-on-dale-hollow-lake/
Curious to hear from anyone who has fished Dale Hollow Lake for carp—what did you think?
