Needed to re-up my frogs now that they’re swarming Kentucky fisheries… went with a Spro Bronzeye in Outback (interesting blend of frog and bluegill colors) and a Scum Frog Launch in Bullfrog (solid yellow bottom with some green and white).

Haven’t used that many classic tassel frogs but the Spro will be my finessier (?) frog for walking and the Scum Frog will be a big plodding water/mat coverer.

  1. You can get a lot of different actions out of the spro. Only frog I usually use.

If you don’t have toothy fish around you they last a long time.

  2. It’s common to trim the trailers down a bit. Some models have really long (like 2-3″) ones and you can get a lot of missed strikes.

Also, fight the urge to set the hook immediately. I count to three or an early run before setting
