Currently have 12 CPDs (theoretically 12, they aren't all out at once) for at least 2 months. I was thinking of adding a dwarf honey gourmi as a centerpiece fish.

Would that be too much for this tank? I have 2 sponge filters & I can add HOB filters too if needed.

I'm also likely going to add more plants in the future.

Thank you.

I have a honey gorami and 6 embers in my 10gal tank. They do fine and the parameters are fine too. It’s heavily planted and has a sponge filter and a HOB filter.

I am just a beginner so I might be wrong!

A single one should be ok, probably a touch small for any more. You have a nicely layed out tank with plenty of plants. A couple of things; dwarf and honey are separate types of gourami. There isn’t a dwarf honey. Also, take care it truly is a honey you get, not a thick lip. They’re often mixed up but thick lips are significantly larger and generally less friendly.
