M fiancé and I are currently confused if our betts is a boy girl, we got her from the Petco and it said girl on it but now there appears to be a bubble nest in the corner of the tank and there are some little white balls under the nest now. Did we get the only pregnant betta or is this a boy?

looks female, female bettas can make bubble nests its just less common, the balls are likely eggs but theyll be infertile
could we see the nest? betta do not typically keep fertile eggs, they’re usually released and then fertilized. IF they are eggs they’re either not fertile or you might have a stoaway female 😅
Bettas cant get pregnant. She could have dropped her eggs after makingt he next. Shes 100% a girl
Female, you can see her egg spot! Females can’t get “pregnant”, what happens is they lay the eggs and the male immediately fertilizes them. (This is how most fish breed) Females usually eat their infertile eggs!
