

Is this a Neocaridina shrimp? When i bought my cherry shrimp the guy bagging up the shrimp noticed this translucent shrimp (it was tiny). And just made an offer hand comment that I'd get him for free.
Didn't think much of it. But now it has out grown most of the other shrimp that started off 4x bigger that it.
I don't have a very big tank (41l) so I'm worried it's a different species of shrimp.
Also, struggling to find my shrimp. If one's pregnant does that suggest more will be?

Not Neo. Davidi I don’t think. I suspect this is Neo. Palmata – otherwise known as a snowball shrimp. The white eggs for which they’re named is kind of a giveaway.
They’re closely related enough they can interbreed, if that matters to you. Enjoy your eggplant shrimp!
