Please Help iD this fish!

Location: Maryland Patapsco state park

I found a snake trying to eat this little guy in the patapsco river in Maryland. I didn’t mean to startle the snake but after he left I let this guy back into the water but it’s driving me crazy I can’t figure out what type of fish he is!
