I’m fairly new to all of this and have been trying to see what could be kept in a 30 gallon community tank that had a center piece and angelfish kept popping up. However there’s a lot of people that say 1 angelfish in a 30 tall is okay, but there’s also a lot people that say that a 55 gallon is the minimum for a single angelfish.

So I just wanted peoples opinions and maybe some insight if you’ve had an angelfish in a 30g before and if you have, what tank mates did you put in there with them?

I would like to have at least some Pygmy Cory’s and a bristlenose pleco, but the tank needs something else besides those and a singular angelfish. What else could I keep in there if anything at all?

Or damn it all, should I start thinking about different fish entirely?

Picture is of the 30 gallon but there’s gonna be some slight changes before the fish go in it, especially depending on what type of fish go in it

  1. Angelfish and rummy nose tetras/harlequin rasboras/cardinal tetras/kuhli loaches

Or you can just stack an entire school and then some more of Pygmy cories and watch them scramble.

Skip the Pleco it honestly adds too much filth on the system and you can easily add smaller, mid water fish like kuhlis instead and watch them worm around.

I don’t know the answer to your question but wanted to say I really like your aquascape! Good luck with your stocking 🙂
