Even the plants will not survive if you feed them live food periodically

Don’t Oscars murder everything?

I’ve seen them get along with a dinosaur bichir, but the bichir grows faster, so you need to give the oscar a headstart. And by “get along”, I mean they coexist without killing each other. But they also had a 200 gallon tank.

Common pleco is the only thing I’ve seen, but that’s in an aquarium store, and that person is very good at what they do

Anything that wont fit in there mouth should be fine. In a large enough tank oscars turn into giant sooks and aren’t aggressive at all. Its in tighter confines they go mad and destroy absolutely everything.

In my 210 I have a pair of the chillest 6-7 year old oscar’s. They’re in with a fully grown senegal bichir, dojo loach, Zig Zag eel, Featherfin Squeaker Syno, a pair of Koi Viel Tail Angels, and a Trinidad Pleco. All are full grown, the tank is also loaded with hornwort and duckweed so that breaks up eye sight a bit. Even during feeding they’ll all group together surprisingly peacefully. You need to know the risk though when adding new things in with Oscars that they might need to be rehomed.

a bunch of feeder guppies or anyone else from your other tanks that needs to be ‘rehomed’ for being bullies.
… but on a more serious note, the oscar’s i had before would eat anything. and kill what won’t fit into their mouth.
