  1. PLEASE READ, CAPTION WOULDN’T WORK:

    Hello everyone,
So a few weeks back I purchased two Mexican dwarf lobsters which I’ve now come to know are actually crayfish (other not pictured, in a different tank). When I got them they were essentially the same size the one in the video slightly larger but both of them no larger than an inch long. Since then one of them has hardly grown which I attribute to its shyness slowing down his ability to get food (seriously the shrimp scare him) anyways, this Girl on the other hand has just grown so big SO FAST! According to the information i have found online they aren’t supposed to get any bigger than 2 inches long but this large lady has well surpassed that…. Was I accidentally sold something else by mistake?

I think you might have the relatively new orange morph of Procambarus alleni. They have a much more solid orange color, lacking the striping and sand patterning common in Dwarf Mexican Crayfish. The electric blue varient has been in the trade for a longer time. These can get to about 5″ and much more solitary.
