My brother, an avid fly fisherman, asked me to make this. I don’t really get it, but I figured maybe someone on here might appreciate it?

Making fun of Brad Pitt in A River Runs Through It I guess? But he was better than his brother and dad 😭

Hahaha- before I read it I was thinking “what a terrible cast!”

It means keep your line on the water or the fish can’t see your fly. People tend to recast too much instead of mending the line for maximum drift.
This also applies to the end of your drift on the swing. I have caught so many fish at the end of a drift. You would be surprised.

Watch the movie. That cast, presentation, and where the fish hit were all total bs if you understand fly fishing. Don’t be Brad indeed!

Haven’t seen said movie but my name is Brad and I’m terrible at fly fishing.

Also, in your image, that guy is on the precipice of a knot or a pile of line on the ground/water. Not sure if you planned it that way but totally aligns with the ethos of the scene in the move. Nice work.
