I was fishing for slot reds and trout when this big boy joined the show. Caught him using a 3k Stradic spoiled with 15 lb braid and 7’ Medium Calico Jack Rod. Goes to show that with the right drag setting and strong knots, you can catch just about anything inshore on this combo. What’s your biggest catch on light tackle?

Was freshwater but biggest tackle to fish ratio was 6lb LMB on a 5’ long action ultralight with 4lb flouro. It was like trying to bring in a whale.

25ish pound yellow cat on 8lb test fishing for crappie. It would be 40lb tiger muskie on 12lb test on crappie that was already hooked on a curly tail grub, but I couldn’t turn it on its last run into some logs when I got it near shore.Almost forgot to say, that’s a solid drum, nice catch!
