Hi all. Can anyone identify this snail? (At least I think it’s a snail). I just noticed it yesterday. I have one blue mystery snail that has been in the tank since February but this one is new. I think it might be a hitchhiker from the local fish store where I purchased plants. The bigger question is if it’s safe to be in the tank with my Betta and Pygmy Corydoras.

  1. its a bladder snail! it wont cause any harm to your tank but your betta might flip over the babies and eat them. bladder snails cam reproduce asexually so even with just one they will reproduce. you’ll see plenty of them, but theyre pretty good at self regulating their population. lots of people consider them pests but i honestly really like them

Had these hitchhikers before, they breed like crazy and I ended up with around 1000 in a 30L
