Im thinking green/black but also kinda like the tiger. Both look good and still have visibility

  1. If you’re going to hunt camo. If not bright orange/red/pink for visibility.

So many options. I would go with cyan, plain red, or dark gray. I’m picky about colors I don’t like a lot of kayak colors that are available. Oh and I also like bright yellow like the kind of yellow for the new Cajo kayaks. I also really like teal but I don’t see many kayaks in that color.

  3. If you plan on being where boaters are – then something high visibility. Neon orange or something like it. I have boaters pass close by me at high speed all the time. With a high visibility color and a flag hopefully they won’t run me straight over.

The Black Green Black looks sick and doesn’t sacrifice too much visibility. Tiger is cool too though.

I agree with the other commenter, if the yak will also be used for hunting (my kayak does hunting duty during duck season to carry decoys, ammo, a cooler, etc) then I would go with a standard camo. Or you can do what I do with my blue kayak, is throw some camo ghillie netting over it during hunting season

Imo if you are on lakes with boats. High vis. My buddy has a camouflage and crossing the lake you can barely see him because he always wears green/black/Grey. That orange flag isn’t enough when these boats are doing 60mph.

  6. A light, bright color. If you fish in the summer, dark colors get hot in the sun.

The brighter the better. Got to make sure the drunk speed boaters can see you.

Either choose a color that contrasts with the water, or get a color you like. Regardless you should get a blaze orange flag. When I had my kayak it was orange and grey, but I still had a flag and during the summer I usually wore a bright UPF50 shirt. I fish lakes with a ton of boat traffic, and aside from getting waked by people who can’t comprehend that they are going too fast near me, I never had any close calls.
