My sweet boy Darwin (named after Darwin Waterson from The Amazing World of Gumball) passed away over night. He started looking a bit lethargic a couple days ago and then was sinking to the bottom of the tank. I did everything you’re supposed to do. My water parameters were perfect (0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, between 0-5 nitrates.) I did a water change anyway. I turned up his heater, added Catappa leaves to his tank, fasted him, and started giving him epsom salt baths. Last night he seemed like he had a bit more energy and was swimming more normally, but I woke up this morning to find him dead. I don’t know what happened, I wish I could’ve saved him.
