If youre thinking about adding a canister filter, do yourself a favor and get it! Crystal clear water over night after adding FX4 to a 75gal that previously only had a Tidal 110. I struggled with cloudy water for months before adding the canister filter.

That flow looks crazy high now… is that substrate eco complete or something? I’ve never seen that happen with sand that was washed correctly
That looks great!! add lots of filter wool and a few bags of filter resin in the canister filter if you want to get rid of any leftover haziness, works a treat for me
I’d hope so. One is rated for 110 Gallons and the other 250 gallons. Not really a fair comparison. You probably should’ve been running 2 110’s previously.
I had the FX4 and it’s great. I replaced it with an Oase Biomaster 350 thermal and will never look back.
It is like comparing oranges to apples. To made it fair you would need 2 tidal 110 to get the same volume the fx4 turns per hour
My only problem with the fx4 is the pump burned out and had to be replaced after about 10
months, it is prob a little overkill the flow feels kinda high even on my 125, but there is def something to be said about the water clarity lmao
