Before and after
I’ve had this betta for 3 months now I got him from petco I have a good heater on 78 a filter I use betta remedy nutrients it’s a 30 gallon tank , I use aquaeon water conditioner, I’ve watched for hours to see if he gets caught in any plants and he’s mostly in his houses , he’s eating great but his fins are deteriorating rapidly idk what to do, should I move him to a smaller tank?

For a 30 gallon with him being male, get live plants if you can, especially those ones that suction cup to the side. More resting places at the top of the tank since they breath oxygen, I have floating betta hide, you can get it cheap at Walmart or I got mine $8 on Amazon. If your on a budget watch the Petco app, I get my fluval substrate and everything usually 30-50% off. Good luck with your friend! Also life plants help with filtration 🫶
