Attached here is a video of the rig I have been trying to catch carp. I have been trying for well over a year with zero luck in north carolina. I mostly fish at lake crabtree if there happens to be any locals to my area that can give me any advice on spots around here I would appreciate it. I know there are common carp in lake crabtree but unfortunately i've never hooked into one.
I cast this rig into the water and have my baitfeeder drag completely open so the fish can run with the bait and my main drag is set to where it takes small effort to pull line out. I simply set my rod in a rod holder and don't check it for 20-30 minutes unless my bite indicator starts going crazy and I do not set the hook, I simply let the fish take its time and once my rod/line is going crazy I will reel down to engage my main drag.
If you have any questions or need to know more information to give me better advice I will provide anything as I am in desperate need of help

Tighten your main drag, trim the tag end, and I would personally try and shorten the hooklink. What are you using as bait (almost sure it’s pack bait)
