Don’t put a ton of pressure on yourself, it’s a marathon not a race.

Maybe practice a couple of different knots.

    A uni-knot is a really versatile knot.

A pair of polarized glasses can help see the fish when it’s sunny out.

Sight casting is really fun and trying to trick the fish to take your lures.

Just have a good time, fishing is awesome.

Im so excited for you. Try differnt lures but if you get stuck a worm and a hook usualy gets something

  3. Just remember to have fun! It isn’t always about catching. If you don’t get any bites at least you were able to be outside and enjoy nature.

  4. Try nothing but a hook and a nightcrawler on it, bobber if you really want to. That’ll catch fish anywhere that there are fish, if you want to try a lure id suggest a 1/16oz jig head and a rubber crappie jig maybe 1.5 to 2inches long. Darker colors for muddier waters and brighter colors for water that is clear!

  5. Those circle bobbers will work but to simplify things you can always get the weighted cigar bobbers. Easy to cast and you don’t need additional weight. Good luck and tight lines!

I always keep a Mepps comet spinner/ minnow spinner and a wacky rig. Enjoy!!
