I've been wanting to get into fishing, and my grandfather fished for his whole life. He hasn't been able to fish for a few years now, but still had his old gear. He sold me 3 rods (2 Rhinos and a Zebco), a FannyPack filled with miscellaneous goodies and 2 FULL Tackleboxes for $500. He really loaded me up with supplies here! I'm a little overwhelmed! Of course the rods will need to be freshened up, but overall I'm thrilled with what all I've got here! What do you folks think?

Dude I’m sorry to tell you this. All of that stuff together is maybe worth $200. Probably more like $100. You way overpaid.

Rods and reels are outdated (but will still catch fish relubed and respooled), but most of the lures are used until today. Spinners catch fish worldwide for nearly a 100 years. Just check the hooks and replace the too rusty or bended ones.
