I think you should be good to add the corys, they are fun tankmates with my bettas. If you think its too much stock in the tank however, just keep an eye on water parameters and how your filter is able to handle the waste. My betta LOVES to pick up my corys sinking pellets and swim around holding them like a toy, shes very entertaining😂

It’s a betta splendens. The colour and pattern names are all marketing.
I haven’t kept ember tetras with bettas even though I currently have both. A lot of tetras are nippy and I worry about long finned bettas with them, but the embers might be fine. Mine tend to keep to themselves.
Cory cats are definitely fine, and they aren’t big waste producers. You could keep more than six depending which type of cory. If you keep something small like corydoras habrosus you could maybe even keep 12 once the cycling is ramped up. They are SO much more fun in a big group.
I’d avoid pygmy corydoras only because they won’t stick to their own tank zone, which isn’t a dangerous problem or anything, but with the limited tank space it’s probably better if they have their whole preferred area to themselves.
If you get regular/bigger corys I’d stick to 8/6 of them.
I started with 4 corydoras trilineatus and bought more later; I’m up to 12 of them and 1 corydorus loxozonus that was alone in the discount tank. They all school happily together.
They share the tank with a betta and a bristlenose pleco (I wouldn’t recommend the pleco in your tank unless you planned to keep only a couple other fish, just because of the tank size and bio-load).
Corys are so fantastically fun to watch and they bring me joy every day. 🙂
