I want to get a betta and try aquascaping with some amino shrimp. Is a 5 gal okay for 1 Betta? This is the one im wanting to get

  1. 5 gal is fine. But don’t get those test strips. Get a liquid kit. Strips are unreliable and often give false results.

    I have the same tank for my betta and I’ve had it for around 5 months now. So far no complaints except for the built in filter, it feels too strong for a betta. Also having shrimps in is a no, tried putting in several shrimps but they either got attacked or escaped the tank. The space is too small that my betta was territorial and did not like company except for a snail, transfered him to a community tank which was 20 gallons and he became more civil than in the 5 gallon. So the tank is really just good for keeping just the betta.
