What trout spinner have you had the most success with?
Here’s a little drawing I made today of a brookie chasing a mepps spinner.

Mepps typically, I caught a rainbow on a rainbow coloured one but the Mepps Black Fury has been my go-to spinner.

Sheer numbers – blue fox vibrax, blue body silver blade. I’ve had most success sizing up as the heavier ones cast farther and sink a bit deeper. I fish more water more productively. I’ve had to downsize if the fish were too small. It is essential for Alaska salmon and rainbow trout.
I’ve had success with other inline spinners, many mepps products, but I wouldn’t call them trout spinners. The “musky” mepps lures are great for… pike and largemouth bass. The classic Double Cowgirl is still essential for musky fishing, and every musky boat should have one in the water.
