Bettas, especially with the koi gene (which makes him marbled/spotty), tend to change colors. Are there any other symptoms?

It’s most likely just normal changes in coloration. It’s really common for their colors to change, a lot of times it’s a sign they’re happy in their environment. Especially since he’s young, they can change colors a LOT as they get older, it’s just part of their growth. I have a koi plakat that looks very similar to yours, he’s gotten more white scales as he’s grown too

Oh no not trying to scare you but same thing with my guy he passed away yesterday I tried everything to save him. He had dropsy and fin rot. I been crying 😭 I was so attached to him I had him 14 months. Never getting a betta from pet smart again.
