I introduced my betta to my thoroughly planted tank of 20+ cherry shrimp and three snails with loads of hiding spaces.
In the space of a weekend, he devoured the entire colony and murdered a snail right in front of me.

Never underestimate the pure territorial nature of a betta, even when they’re the one being introduced into an already established tank 😂

My girly also hates snails- I added one to her tank and the next morning all that remained was a shell. I wasn’t mad bc I know bettas are little hunters and it was just a ramshorn snail and my sister had lots but that the last time anything got added to her tank lol

I introduced a snail and my betta could care less – does this mean I am good to go with some more inhabitants?
