My dad bought this fish in 2011 and they are still alive. Is that common? How old do they typically get and what is the exact name of this kind of fish?

Thanks in advance

Ngl that sounds insane. Stiphodons usually don’t live longer than 5-8 years really the species I think is Stiphodon Atropurpureus I believe

  2. They may have had babies and grew up without you knowing?? If they didn’t, those are the world record longest lived goby’s ever

I immediately need the tank size/ setup and filtering and plants and anything that might’ve made this happen! I’ve never seen a stiph make it over like 5 years,, this is amazing!

  4. Interesting. I don’t have these but I do have Buenos Aires Tetra that are over 15 yrs old.
