I get it’s a trolling lure but 1. will it catch fish 2. is the spinner too far from the hook?

I’ve never seen a blade on a trolling feather before but I guess it could be closer you just don’t want the feathers to overlap with it

Throw it into blitzing fish and retrieve. You might get tight?

I think you’d have better luck without the blade honestly. Trim the hair/flash up to the bottom of the hook. Granted I fish offshore more than the surf(I work on a charter) but that’s what we use for stingers on spreader bars and wide trackers. How big is your hook also? We use like a 7/0 for tuna so you definitely would want to lighten that up. Just my 2 cents but good luck. I’m interested to see if what you’re doing works.
