i typically abstain from harvesting fish but unfortunately it’s for the better in this situation. Colorado has had by far the worst snow pack i’ve ever seen in my life this year and as a result drought conditions have worsen. this old guy was caught in a reservoir soon to be drained so that the water can get pumped to another reservoir closer to the city. so atleast i don’t feel nearly as guilty for harvesting such a great fish. this was also my PB 5lbs weighed!

Taking advantage of the Antero situation eh? Awesome fish. The first part of your post about tough conditions in CO had me feeling a bit unhappy (if snowpack is low and fish are going to be struggling, this is the year you want to leave big fish, which have better rates of survival and produce more offspring, in the rivers)… but then I saw the part about draining the reservoir, and yeah, get the heck after it! That’ll be a great meal!
