i already made a post about this a few days ago. my boys fins are clamped, i checked my water parameters, nitrates, nitrites and ammonia are all fine, only my ph is around 7,8-8 so a little too high i suppose. i noticed he has spots over his body. is this ich or just discoloration? his appetite is normal and i dont see him brushing his body against things, and hes also not lethargic. it’s just the spots and clamped fins. what should i do?

We need more info. Tank size, water temperature, how long you have had the tank and the fish, if it was cycled, water change frequency, water change steps in detail, feeding schedule, etc. Also the ammonia and nitrite and nitrate tests id also like to know the exact numbers. Bonus points for a picture of them. People tend to use the word “fine” a lot when it isnt.

He is soo thin! How much food do you give him per day? 4 pallets, 2 in the morning and 2 in the night should be okay.
Maybe he have extreme fin rot, or burning by amonio. If is the first maybe kanaplex helps, if is burning keep the water very clean and add cattapa leaves.

Hi OP, the fish is seriously sick plus he’s very underweight. The fin curling and clamping points to water parameter issues – are you able to share them?

The pH could be one of the issues, if a test strip it could be inaccurate and betta can struggle in high alkanity, their skin and fins showing the impact first.

Please test and share for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH, please also share what was used for testing and a picture if you can.

The tank details, feeding schedule and water change frequency too please.

Super wafer thin! Starving to death. Needs to be fed 2 x a day. Hope he survives
