This is my first betta ever and he doesnt have a name yet! any suggestions for his name welcome, or if you have any care tips C: My biology class was doing an expiriment on bettas and we had the option to take one home and I happened to have a tank that was empty and cycled so it worked out really well lol. he's currently in a minimally planted 10 gal with 6 ember tetras. I had a ton of plants but ALL of them died except one despite my ammonia, nitrites and nitrates being normal. any suggestions for any hardy plants for beginners would be helpful. He gets along well with the tetras (collectively named The Chat) but I do have to feed him seperately in a cup because he will literally let the tetras eat all the food in front of him smh. I have lots of hides for him near the top of the tank as well! Really excited to see him get healthier, I'll see if I can post a photo of him on the first day in the comments

  1. Bettas love it at 80 degrees f. Regarding the plants. I’ve noticed that light is 90% make
Or break for plants. Do you have a full spectrum grow light type light? I’ve found one I really like for my 40 gal breeder on the Brazilian river app for less than $40! 6you dint need to spend a lot of $ to have nice thriving plants. I’ll get back to you with the brand.. I’m not home.
