Bought this bag of lures for 5 $ after a glance and thought it looked cool. But after I opened it its just a bunch of mostly old shad raps and unbranded lures. Did I get got on this one?

  1. Id say no because they look pretty well kept and if you had to buy just one of those beand new it be 5$ or more

  2. Old lures but will still likely catch some fish. $5 for all of that seems like a steal.

Hell no. Replace the hooks if need be and clean them up. These usually cost around $10-$15 each at a shop.

You got seven lures for $5. And it appears they came in a ziploc bag. Explain how you got scammed here?

Its $5 lol… Probably a retired fisherman or dead fisherman’s next of kin trying to clear some stuff.

That one on the bottom right looks similar to a hot n tot. Sometimes when I’m really struggling they are the only thing that will put walleye in the boat.

    That’s worth the $5 easy

Dude those are two OG Rapala Fat Raps (bottom left) that the don’t make anymore, two rattlin Rapalas (the lipless cranks) that they stopped making and are good for bass, a Rapala shad rap at bottom right. Those are all worth 6 or 7 each. Then top right two maybe cotton Cordell or bagleys?

  8. Nah man those perch colored ones work great (at least up here in wisco). You’d be hard pressed to find that many for $5 lol

$5 for just the ziplock bag is basically a good deal if the seller was in a convenient place, in this economy..

I believe those are all Rapala baits. I count 4 fat raps, 1 shad rap, and 1 rapala rattle bait. The only one I can’t see well is the larger rattle bait.

The fat rap has a bit of a cult following. Pretty good for working over chunk rock banks. Balsa so they float up out of rocks and deflect pretty well. Wide-ish wobble.

The craw colored shad rap is super effective in cool water for bass and always a nice bait to troll with. When my grandfather used to troll for walleye and white bass he would claim that the craw color caught more walleye.

The traps are all basically the same. Still work well, cover tons of water.

You didn’t get scammed at all. You made out like a bandit. One of the fatraps can sell for $10.

Five bucks for seven lures that actually work is a win, especially if you’re just starting out and don’t know what catches fish yet.

No, you got decent lures at a great price. Avoid casting them into snaggy areas, and you may be rewarded with many fish.

Considering most every crankbait in store is gonna be at least $5+ 7 of them, for the price of one “cheap” one, is certainly not a scam.

I don’t know what the bottom right one is, but it was my best trolling lure when I was a kid. It would get hit all day long. Worth $5 to me

I just left Walmart all of those would be more than 5$ for a single one at the store

That shad rap is like a $7-$10 bait alone depending on where you’re shopping.
