Shrimp and betta will become a feeding frenzy for the betta. Especially in a 5 gallon but your tank is absolutely stunning.

Good lookin tank, just watch the betta before adding shrimp. Shrimp and betta can be kept together but its all dependant on the temperament of the betta. Shorter fins mean wilder genes and wilder genes mean feisty angry frilly little murder machines

Umm how did you manage to add all the live plants without a single snail coming for the ride?
(Before you say it, I already know about peroxide dipping, this is a joke.)

I have a betta in a 20 gallon tank and he’s done well with certain other fish. But shrimp? They disappear immediately, almost certainly right into the betta’s tummy. Only introduce shrimp if you’re looking to give your betta a live snack.
Btw, very nice tank. At most, I’d suggest only adding a snail.
