I am working on a new topwater frog design. I have been a frog fisherman for decades and as most fisherman would agree topwater frogs are some of the most fun fishing you can do.
One night I had an idea that if I could make a frog that would vibrate it may be extremely successful in drawing in more fish. Right now when fishing a frog you can either pop it back, or walk it back to create movement, but what if you could cast it onto a pad and it would vibrate, similar to a real frog, drawing in fish even when stationary.
This video shows a first prototype, this is not going to be the final design of the frog at all just testing the mechanism. The big thing we are fighting with is having a small enough device inside that is allows for the same level of hookups.
Charging would be done with two small clips but the battery would last 6+ hours of run time.
Looking for feedback on if you think this would work, maybe even what your favorite frogs on the market are?

Out here in the California Delta that would work!!
Any lure with a battery is designed to catch the fisherman and not the fish, at least this is my first reaction. You would need to show a big amount of video where you show that you are catching fish like crazy to even consider getting one.
I’m having a very hard time finding it. probably 10-12 years ago, I had an electric spook that would vibrate, and it was more about sound than actual vibration. It kind of sounded like a quiet frog croak. I caught many, many fish with that lure. I believe it was made by Heddon.
