I recently swapped out the default blue and white light that came with this Fluval tank. Had no dimming options or timer or anything, just 100% all the time. It had served me well for a while till I started getting that algae.
Just swapped it for Seaquora SR-617 12w
The difference is amazing. Pictures really don’t do justice to how horrible that intense pure white and blue light was. His little world, himself included, is so much more vibrant and natural.

You might add a couple nerites to help with the algae that’s established. I would say toss a gang of three Corydoras for good measure. But don’t want to overcrowd. Your 10 gallon?
They say that about the reds. He is gorgeous though. My only critique would be to cut down on some of what’s taking up space so he has more room to swim. I have my Betta’s in communal tanks and so far so good. As long as the addition isn’t flashy or nippy. 3 Cory Cats would be fine they stay low and don’t bother with his space. Two of my tanks have guppies they get along fine. Just not the flashy ones. I think Betta’s may be happier with other fish to entertain them. You are doing great though. 🥰
