My Dad received this 7’6” 4 Piece St. Croix Travel Rod for his birthday sometime around 1985. It never got much use. I thought it would be neat to find an old reel and take it out on the Potomac to catch some shad.
Any advice for identifying the action or what kind of reel I should look for (size, brand, model)? Would also be interested in identifying the exact make and model of the rod if possible.
Attached are photos of the rod. There is nothing else written on the rod (unless it would be under the St. Croix sticker).
