I know these things are killer in the spring and in crawfish filled waters generally, so i’ve been trying to learn the ropes on this one. How do you guys generally toss this one? I like scooting it across the bottom in little bam-bam-bam reel jerks, or yo-yoing it.

Didn’t get anything on it today but I blame the weather and myself.

I usually let it hit the bottom then reel as slowly as I can while still getting vibration

  2. The places I fish tend to have a lot of wood in the water so I try to fish them on the bottom but always moving, rarely any pauses to let the hook tip over or the blade to stop deflecting. If I do get snagged I’ll usually dead-stick it for a good little bit and then try to work it loose, sometimes the second I go to twitch it a helpful bass will grab it and take it out of the snag for me.

Be careful if your bank fishing and don’t get hung up. That’ll make your stomach hurt when you lose one of those.

For the chatters I like to let it hit the bottom and bounce it similar to a regular jig. Give it a pull just enough to get the blades vibrating then pause. They’ll usually hit it on the pause. Good luck and tight lines!
