Does anyone know how to fix this? My neighbor let me borrow his baitcaster since I’ve never used one before, and this happened on my first cast. Please tell me what to do because I think my neighbor will be mad.

I’m sorry. It’s alright though. Buy some cheap new line and learn your lessons now brother.

Sorry bud, but there is no fixing that. Cut it, give your neighbor some money, and call it a day.

I just bought one too, in my experience that’s how it’s supposed to work apparently.

Lol, that’s one of the worst birds’ nest I’ve ever seen. Did you not use your thumb at all?

Hopefully that’s a staged photo because you were throwing the line out anyways. Otherwise I hope that uou’re a patient sort of person.

Literally just take it to a fishing store and ask if they can re line it?? Like hello??? Is the world this stupid now?

Haha they will prob laugh.
Give it back and $20 for a new spool of line.
Then go fishing with them and laugh about the eagles nest you made.

hate to be that guy but I believe this is a joke. It is not physically possible to achieve this in one cast. The only universe where this has any chance of happening is if your neighbor has a crappy reel from Temu. I would also have to say from the looks of it the line is about 20 pounds which is way too much for a reel of this caliber. If this is a genuine issue and not a joke I sincerely apologize fellow fishing redditor.

If I was the neighbor I’d laugh my ass off, then I’d help you work on setting it up and casting after a quick respool. We’ve all done it at least once on a baitcaster.

Cut the line and give him like 25$ or something like that amount

Cut the line into 3-4 ft lengths and tie them all together. Respool and return. He’ll never know the difference 😂
